The Footbridge Canopy Project (hereafter “The Canopy Project”) treats your privacy rights seriously.  This privacy policy sets out how we will deal with your personal information.

 

What information do we collect about you?

We only collect data we need.  We collect data you that may volunteer as part of donation forms, e-newsletter sign-ups, and/or volunteer opportunities.  Personal information we collect may include:

  • Your name and title

  • Postal address

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Your contact preferences

  • Your area of interest if you would like to volunteer

  • Your Gift Aid entitlement

 

How do we use your personal information?

We use your personal information to:

  • Send you details of any Canopy Project events or talks

  • Send you regular updates, if you have chosen for us to do so

  • Send you information on our fundraising operations, including requests for volunteers or other support

 

With whom do we share your personal information?

We will never disclose information about you, including your personal information, unless we have a statutory duty to disclose it for other legal and regulatory reasons.  Where we need to share your information outside of The Canopy Project, we will seek your consent and inform you as to whom the information will be shared with and for what purpose.

 

We do not disclose personal data to any third parties or external organisations.

Our website hosting provider and bulk email service provider necessarily have access to personal data (if you fill out a contact form on the website; for email emailing lists).  These types of companies are termed ‘data processors’ and they are bound by the General Data Protection Regulation.  Your data will never be sold or passed to any third party for any other purpose.

 

How long to we keep your personal information?

We will keep your information only until the project is complete.  The current estimated date is 2021.  If it is determined the project will extend beyond this date, we will contact you and seek renewal of consent.

How can you update or correct your information?

To ensure that the information we hold is accurate, you need to inform The Canopy Project about any changes or correction to your data.  You can do this by contacting us by email at footbridgecanopyproject@gmail.com or in writing to The Footbridge Canopy Project, Silver Street House, Silver Street, Bradford on Avon BA15 1JY.  Should you wish to view the information The Canopy Project holds on you, you can make this request by contacting us – as detailed above.  There may be certain circumstances where we are not able to comply with this request.  This would include where the information may contain references to other individuals or for legal, investigative or security reasons.  Otherwise, we will usually respond within 14 days of the request being made.

 

How do we keep your information secure?

We have implemented security procedures, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from:

  • Unauthorised access

  • Improper use or disclosure

  • Unauthorised modification

Trustees and any volunteer staff, who have access to and are associated with the processing of personal data, are legally obliged to respect the confidentiality of our supporters’ personal data.

This policy is available on the website footbridgecanopyproject.org and on request from us at the details above.  This policy may change from time to time.  If we make any material changes we will make you aware of this via the website.
